Law, Jack Artist. There is scant information available about Jack Law. Sylvester Baxter describes Law as a landscape painter and Chelsea tile-maker who was acquainted with Walt Whitman "in the old Pfaff days." Law told Baxter that Whitman would likely not remember him by name. Baxter notes, "Very likely you might remember his vigorous expletive and great enthusiasm!"  (Traubel 45).
