Spurious Pictures [from the Boudoir] The article questions Americans’ continued fascination with foreign artists.  The author ruminates on the elevation of foreign--particularly European--works of art over those created in the United States, and also explains that the demand for foreign art has led to a decline in the quality of works being created.
