French Novels [from the Philadelphia City Item] Scene from a typical French novel in which a married woman is tempted to cheat on her unloving husband.  Her small child stops her temporarily from giving in to her tempter, but she then concedes to him.  As they leave, her husband arrives and sees what is going on.  Louise passes out and when she awakens she hears gunshots.  Supposing it is her lover being killed, she kills herself.
