The Lost Steamship [from Harper's Monthly for April 1860] One fisherman asks another about a wrecked ship a ways up the coast.  The second fisherman explains that it crashed just the previous day and all aboard it died.  The first fisherman asks how he so intimately knows the details of the wreck.  He replies that he was the second mate on the ship.
