To Our Portuguese Readers This article discusses a new book from Paris, <cite>The New Guide of the Conversation, in English and Portuguese</cite>, which it classifies as the worst guide of its kind currently available.  The review treats the book with the respect due to any thing of "preeminence" and gives a detailed sampling of the conversations and the "Youth" who is at the center of the book and the language lessons.
