One of Brougham's "Irish plays," A Game of Love is a farcical romance that features Brougham himself in one of the lead roles.
Ryan's essay on Brougham's Irish plays contains an analysis of such plays as The Irish Yankee, Life in New York, The Game of Love, and Temptation.
Wallack is billed as "Mr. Lester;" he plays the role of "Paul Weldon" in the original performance.
