Abstract

The libretto for the French play L'Ambassadrice was written by Eugène Scribe with music by D. F. E. Auber. It was translated into English and adapted by Gilbert Abbott A'Beckett, and George Loder, and was first performed at Brougham's Lyceum in New-York on Jan. 27, 1851.
