Abstract

This article consists of two contributions from George Ticknor and Mr. Everett -- reminscences on meeting Lord Byron. Both men note that Byron's appearance did not match his wild and reckless lifestyle, the efficient way in which Byron conceals his physical deformation, and his political sentiments concerning the Battle of Waterloo.
