Abstract

A different explanation of the evolution of species is presented in this story. A dwarf possesses a magical lamp which he uses to alter animals. Unfortunately, a great tempest destroys the castle the animals and dwarf are in, crushing the lamp and killing the dwarf. The animals are left in their altered state forever.
