On October 23, 1858, Henry Clapp, Jr., published the inaugural issue of The Saturday Press.
Not so kind words for the moribound Saturday Press. The Atlas bashes it, saying that there will be no advances from puffers to a paper with no circulation. Also the paper is criticized for its own persistent promotion of Whitman and other Bohemian artists.
