Quelqu'un begins by discussing his job of writing the Dramatic Feuilleton for The Saturday Press and his lack of skill; he also discusses the problems this will cause with the start of opera season. Quelqu'un gives updates on all the injured performers he has discussed in his most recent columns. He also claims that there is "nothing going on in the Dramatic World worth talking about, and won't be until next week," when Patti and the opera open (3). Quelqu'un mentions some of the theatrical topics he could discuss and also gives his reasons for not engaging in the discussion. The Feuilleton is followed by a P.S. that reprints an editorial article about Kate Bateman from the Chicago Press and Tribune.
Quelqu'un claims that his "friends at The Saturday Press insist that I shall enliven that dull sheet, every week, with a Dramatic Feuilleton, whether I have anything to write about or not" (3).
Quelqu'un compares himself to the "clever and witty" Personne, "who will weave the most delicate and graceful web in the world out of nothing" when discussing his difficulty writing about the dramatic world (3).
