Abstract

Letter to the editor questioning whether physicians are able to determine the causes of death when examining a dead body, specifically a body found floating in the river or burned. The author cites the "Chinese medico-legal work" titled Si-yen, which details methods for ascertaining the causes of death, and urges (American) physicians to be inspired to learn the techniques.
