Abstract

Funds need to be raised for the proposed project to create a horticultural school on Long Island. The school will provide poorer females with a chance to learn and engage in light employment. To collect money, a week long floral festival will be held in May at the Palace Garden. Correspondences attached to the article relate that the 71st regiment will be in attendance at the festival.
