Abstract

Clare writes in receipt of Mitchell's letter detailing a "banker's draft for £10." She expresses confusion since she has "drawn no money from any banker" since leaving America. She asks Mitchell to explain his prior letter and admits she is not as "amused" with France as upon her initial arrival.
