Colburn & Holland inform Mitchell that it would not be possible for him to sell stocks in either the current private or public market since many of the banks are suspended. Colburn & Holland elaborate further and name the banks they believe are closing and/or have closed. They remark that they have never seen a situation like this before and are unsure of what will result. The letter closes with their advisement that Mitchell hold onto his money.
