Abstract

Clare recounts the details of her voyage to Paris and how, though difficult, she is fortunate to be in the city. She assures Mitchell that she is in better health and has been enjoying the unprecedented mildness in weather. Clare goes on to ask that he pay a debt to "her friend, Mrs. Patania" before giving her best regards to Mitchell's family.
